Volunteer more

“In this world always take the position of the giver. Give everything and look for no returns. Give love, give help, give service, give any little thing you can. Go from village to village; do good to humanity and to the world at large. A few heart-whole, sincere, and energetic young men and women can do more in a year than a mob in a century.” Swami Vivekananda Following Swamiji’s words Swabhiman aims at engaging youth in all its activities as volunteers. If you're a passionate and creative individual who wants to share your skills with those in need, you've come to the right place!

Why Volunteer?

People volunteer for a number of different reasons, ranging from a desire to learn new skills, have fun or make a difference. Some are completely devoted to the cause, while others simply wish to do their bit where they can. In actual fact, many of the reasons for volunteering in various organizations are the same as those for volunteering in ANJALI but here there is the added bonus of being part of a larger family, the ANJALIANS, having a very meaningful experience, taking you further out of your comfort zone and offering far greater rewards.

You can join as a full time volunteer, a part time volunteer or a one day volunteer. A full time volunteer is required to book 15 calendar days for the event. 5 days from 10th to 14th November, 4 days before the event and 3 days after between October to December 2014. A part time volunteer can opt to work for the pre-camp activities and also for a few hours during the event.

How Volunteering helps you?

Volunteering allows you to connect to your community and make it a better place. Even helping out with the smallest tasks can make a real difference to the lives of peopleand organizations in need. And volunteering is a two-way street: It can benefit you and your family as much as the cause you choose to help. Dedicating your time as a volunteer helps you make new friends, expand your network, and boost your social skills.
